A New York-based animal rescue group, the Lexus Project, said Nevada’s high court accept an application for an Emergency Writ, which would temporarily halt the city of Henderson’s planned euthanasia of a dog named Onion. The 120-lb. canine was taken into animal control custody after he had mauled a toddler last month. read more

Clark County air quality officials issued an air quality advisory Wednesday as smoke from a northern Nevada wildfire continued to make its way to the area. The Tre fire, located about 400 miles northwest of the Las Vegas Valley, has charred at least seven homes since it started Tuesday. read more
